Is LinkedIn Premium Career Worth it?

What is LinkedIn Premium Career?

LinkedIn Premium Career includes tools to help job seekers find jobs faster, stand out to recruiters, and grow their skills. Features include advanced search filters, AI-powered profile and message assistance, unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning, applicant insights, and InMail messaging to contact people outside your network. This subscription is designed to help users be more visible to hiring managers and increase their chances of getting hired.

How much does LinkedIn Premium Career Cost?

As of late 2025, LinkedIn Premium Career costs approximately $29.99 per month (or the local equivalent, such as £29.99 per month in the UK) when billed monthly. You can typically save money by choosing an annual subscription. The annual price is around $239.88 per year (equivalent to $19.99 per month). The Career plan is LinkedIn’s most affordable Premium option, making it accessible for individual professionals seeking career advancement opportunities.

Will I get value as a jobseeker paying for LinkedIn Premium Career?

There are a few conversations on the value of using LinkedIn Premium Career for jobseekers. Conversations on Reddit here and here indicate mixed responses. Whether LinkedIn Premium Career is “worth it” depends heavily on how actively and strategically you use its features during your job search.

LinkedIn Premium is not worth it for candidates. I use it because I am a Recruiter but I don’t see any benefit to paying for it if you are looking for a job. It has some neat features, so if you can get it for free, go for it, but those features are probably not going to be moving the needle for you in your job search.

I did the free trial, and used LinkedIn Premium to access LinkedIn Learning. While I found these online courses to be pretty good, I don’t think I’d pay for it.—There’s plenty of decent free online courses on future learn and openlearn.

For an active job seeker, the Premium Career plan can provide a competitive edge in a crowded job market. Despite the potential benefits, many job seekers and career experts find the free version sufficient.

An alternative with personalised job search and matching

Most career tools today are generic, one-size-fits-all, and lack meaningful personalisation. Job seekers struggle with tailoring resumes, evaluating role fit, or navigating career transitions when searching for jobs. Career movers need positioning for advancement. Career pivots need help translating skills. International applicants need localisation and cultural adaptation.

MyCareerAgents.AI delivers segment-specific AI agents that behave like trained career experts:

  • Scout → Job seeker optimisation + matching
  • Navigator → Career progression and upskilling strategy
  • Bridge → Skill translation and pivot mapping
  • Pathfinder → International resume localisation + global job fit

All features are available for free, with an option to subscribe for more active users.
